Job Description
Our client is a fintech company scaling its transaction infrastructure and needs a senior backend engineer who has shipped production systems that handle real money. You'll own services end to end — design, build, deploy, and keep them running.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
Design and build backend services in Go, backed by PostgreSQL
Own API design and documentation for services consumed by web and mobile clients
Improve reliability, observability, and performance of existing systems
Review code and mentor mid-level engineers on the team
Work with product and design to scope and sequence delivery
Requirements
What we're looking for
5+ years of backend engineering experience, at least 2 of them in Go
Strong SQL and relational data modelling skills
Experience running services in production on AWS or similar
Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code basics
Clear written communication — this is a fully remote, async-friendly team
Nice to have
Payments, banking, or ledger system experience
Exposure to event-driven architecture or message queues
Open-source contributions
