Role Overview
We are recruiting for the Risk Control leadership development role at FoodCo Nigeria Limited, a leading multichannel retail company in Nigeria. Interested applicants must have basic understanding of risk management concepts (Operational, financial and compliance risk) ethical standards, keen analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively while mitigating organizational risks.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Learning to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks across the organization.
Assisting in the development and implementation of risk management policies and frameworks.
Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in business processes.
Learning how to monitor compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Understudying managers/supervisors in the risk management and compliance team to develop both technical and soft skills.
Assisting in preparing risk reports, dashboards, and analyses for management decision-making.
Supporting incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
Learning to evaluate emerging risks and developing proactive mitigation strategies.
Assisting in designing and executing internal controls and process improvements.
Learning to use risk management software and tools to track, report, and analyze risks.
Requirements
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree / Higher National Diploma in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum graduating GPA of second class upper / upper credit.
0–2 years post NYSC experience.
Age limit: 27 years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Self-starter, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects.
High work ethic, personal and professional integrity, positive attitude, and passion for excellence.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
Experience with risk management, compliance, and internal control software is an advantage.
Student membership of professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or IRM is an added advantage.
