GUO Transport Limited is seeking a diligent, analytical, and detail-oriented Audit Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, evaluating internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, identifying operational and financial risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen business processes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits across the organization.
Review financial records, transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
Perform periodic cash counts, stock counts, and asset verification exercises.
Investigate irregularities, policy violations, and suspected fraud cases.
Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
Conduct surprise audits and spot checks at stations and departments.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Assist Management in identifying and mitigating operational risks.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, or Compliance.
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CIA) will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Salary: N200,000 - 250,000
